Multi-head capper for screw or crown caps
Rotary capping machines for closing aluminum or plastic screw caps, or crown caps, on cylindrical or shaped bottles.
The application of screw caps is widespread in many different production sectors, from the beverage industry (wine, mineral water, spirits) to the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry (syrups, mouthwashes, lotions) to the chemical industry (paints, solvents).
Crown caps are commonly used to close bottles of beer, fruit juices, soft drinks, and tomato puree.
Depending on the characteristics of the capsule to be treated, the feed is provided by a centrifugal, honeycomb or vibrating distributor; the transfer of the capsule is obtained by means of a descent channel (equipped with a photocell to detect the presence of the capsule) which ends with the distribution head.
In the case of pre-threaded plastic caps, distribution takes place via a transfer disc (pick & place system).
The pistons that support the heads are operated by the sliding of rollers in the control cam and, being inside easily accessible bronze sleeves, they are suitable for rapid lubrication and maintenance.
The 4-roller stainless steel threading heads (with ‘no cap/no roll’ device) allow for excellent threading and edging of a wide range of capsules.
For plastic caps, adjustable magnetic clutch heads with interchangeable mandrels are used.
Height adjustments and size changes are quick and easy to perform.
The safety devices used prevent malfunctions and bottle breakages.
Standard equipment:
– Centrifugal Power Supply
– Inverter for speed regulation
– PLC for work cycle control
– Production viewer and anomaly reporting
– Bottle height format management by PLC
– No. 2 photocells on the cap descent channel
– Photocell to control accumulations at the exit of the conveyor belt
– Inlet selection screw device
– Stainless steel safety guards and electrical panel
– Electric head lift
Optional Equipment
– Device for detecting missing capsules at the exit and machine stop
– Bottle counter speedometer / working hours.
– Automatic starting device of the capper determined by the number of incoming bottles.
– Mechanical elevator for transferring capsules to the capper hopper
